Form Follows Function

The front fascia features a Saleen Axial Front Grille and a Saleen Heat Extractor Hood which increases airflow into and out of the engine compartment maximizing horsepower and downforce on the front-end. The rear fascia features an integrated diffuser allowing fast moving air beneath the vehicle to expand and create a low-pressure zone, while a high-downforce rear spoiler improves traction at high speeds.



Lateral Acceleration

Selectable drive modes, S⁴ Specific Rate Front and Rear Springs and an Independent Rear Suspension optimize vehicle stability around corners, while providing consistent handling during hard braking. The Saleen Swaybar, High Durometer Pivot Bushings, Strut Tower Brace and Strut Tower End Plates provide rigidity and precise steering control while conquering tight corners at racing speeds.




Longitudinal Acceleration
The Mustang Sport Edition is available in a Turbocharged 2.3L, I-4 EcoBoost engine with a six-speed automatic transmission featuring steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for those interested in superior fuel economy. In addition, a naturally aspirated 5.0L, V8 Ti-VCT engine with the option of a six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, or a 6-speed manual transmission with a short-throw shifter is available for those looking for the high power output the Saleen Mustang is known for. A Limited Slip Differential and the Launch Control Traction System—available with the manual transmission only—keeps traction during acceleration off the line.
